Guess who’s back?
Life has been ok. I went down to San Diego on the May 16th SDSU commencements. I played Pump in A.J.’s garage, and it made me really wish I had bought the machine when it was in stock. Otherwise, I drove a rental car, and it was really nice. Despite being an SUV, the car had good acceleration and didn’t feel too heavy. Having a car in SD was amazing. I wish I had one when I was in university. The freedom to go wherever I wanted with many friends in the area felt nice. I felt a little sad that I missed out on tons of fun.
I also was in Korea from May 23rd to June 6th. The tickets were very cheaper for a round trip (approx 800) My grandparents are getting old, so I want to visit them twice a year. Furthermore, A.M. achieved a milestone in his cybersecurity coursework, so I allocated some time to hang out with him as well. After he left, I worked remotely at ungodly hours. The average day was: wake up at 12 PM, eat lunch, work at Starbucks, eat dinner, work at Starbucks, go to arcade. Theoretically, that is the dream lifestyle, but at some point, I really wished I had a friend around to hang out with. During this time, I hit the Expert Lv.1 title in Pump. This means I’m not bad at the game now. I felt a bit of burn-out of the game. The entire pursuit was kind of over. At the same time, the music selection for the game is kinda bad (and old), so I can’t wait to get my own machine.

Then, I went to San Diego again (June 11th) for UCSD commencement. I watched this movie called Obsession which was probably the best worst movie I’ve ever watched. The first time I watched it, I was screaming and holding my friends’ (male) hands. The movie made me extremely uncomfortable. Thus, I give the verdict that the movie is amazing. If I felt nothing, then I don’t think that’d be a very good movie. The second time, I raised the white flag and walked out of the theater. Bravo to the director.
Working is fun, not in a coping way. I genuinely find my work enjoyable, and I look forward to go into the office each day I wake up. Hours are flexible, which accomodate for my poor discipline. The engineering problems are challenging and intriguing. I look forward to staying here for the next few years.
I still have big dreams. Corporate work life has not taken them away from me. There are just some things that get in my way some times. The path to greatness isn’t free, and I am naïve to think there would be no obstacles.
